Terms of use

1. Agreement

These terms apply to the Daily Kanji app and its widgets, made by Criclabs Co., Ltd. By downloading or using the app you accept them, together with Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If the two conflict, these terms apply where the law allows.

2. Daily Kanji Pro

• Pro unlocks unlimited cards, lock screen widgets and home screen widgets.
• Plans are ฿150 per month or ฿900 per year. Prices may differ by country and are shown in the app before you buy.
• The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The monthly plan has no free trial. Any unused part of the trial ends if you buy another subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the trial ends.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel in the Settings app, under your name, then Subscriptions. Step by step help is on the support page.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.
• How we handle your information is described in the privacy policy.

3. Your use of the app

You may use Daily Kanji for your own personal study. Please do not copy, resell or redistribute the app, or try to get around its subscription features.

4. Dictionary data

Daily Kanji uses the JMdict and KANJIDIC2 dictionary files, the property of the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group, used under the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 licence. Changes made to this data for the app are shared under the same licence.

5. JLPT levels

JLPT levels in the app are estimates to guide your study. Daily Kanji is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the Japan Foundation or Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, which run the JLPT. Using the app does not promise any test result.

6. No warranty

The app is provided as it is. Readings, meanings and sentences are checked with care but may contain mistakes. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss from using the app.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The new version will be posted here with a new date. Continuing to use the app means you accept the update.
